Micro drone variants

I’m a bit confused about a couple of micro drones I see on the site, specifically, the following two products …

 https://www.robotshop.com/en/litebee-drone-bit.html
 https://www.robotshop.com/en/dronebit-kit-microbit-w-o-microbit.html

Are these basically the same item (i.e. same flight controller and motor/propeller components), just from two different suppliers?

Further, are they similar in design (i.e. basically knock offs?, again with the same flight controller interface board) as the the Kickstarter-based Air:bit drone? …

Thanks in advance for any insight you that can be provided to help me understand the differences between these various products.

Hello @elljay ,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

They might look the same, however, they have some differences.

This one uses an 8MP camera:

While, the other one doesn’t provide a camera, however, it has a couple sensors instead as shown in the picture below:

We don’t see much of a resemblance since this is a very basic drone without any sensors to control it.

You can add a motion sensor to it and control it through your smartphone according to its datasheet.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram -

Thanks for your response, and for highlighting those differences between the two items I inquired about. Now that you point it out, it’s all right there in the specifications! I should have looked more closely at those details rather than focusing on the overall top level appearance of the items.

Thank you again,
Larry
