Merry Christmas!

Anyone get any cool robo-toys?

Merry Xmas!

I got a Basic Stamp BS2px, a 6" digital caliper, and ViaCad3d software From My in-laws.

The ViaCad3D is for designing bot parts and the 6" digital caliper is for assisting in the design of the parts. The BS2px is a microcontroller I wanted to add to the Basic Atom PRO collection of MCUs. It has built in comparators on every pin, configurable pull-up resistors on every pin, and Schmitt Trigger, and Logic Threshold circuitry on every I/O pin.

I also got six HS-5645s, Visual sequencer, and battery and charger as an early gift from my wife. I got this stuff early because I wanted to be able to use this stuff before Lynxmotion closed down for the Holiday.

The BS2px works great. I did some simple test to make sure that it is working however I am having a problem getting it to talk to the SSC-32. It’s probably a code issue but I will have to try and see if I can work out this issue.

Yar the pico-itx/ram/pico-PSU/hdd setup was a gift from the wife, as was baby-free time to really get some work done on my robots.

Merry Christmas to you too!

I DID NOT get any robot parts  I have to buy them for my self. Hopefully Jim will send me some Phoenix parts soon  hint hint Jim!

The only cool thing I got was a mini Z train kit from my father…

I got a Pico Z and a 8600 GT 512MB Video Card! :stuck_out_tongue:

Merry Christmas!

Wohoo! Xbox 360 game  LoL, which needs to go back on boxing day since an 06 game was in an 07 case

rip off

no robot parts this year - but I do get to build a computer for my sister, so that’ll be cool to play around with for a while

Hi!

Merry christmas to you too!

I got 100$+ to buy electronic pieces, got electronic circuits for the evil genius (great book for beginners! it’s real nice, it explains evrything nicely.) The 27 I’m going to addison to buy electronic pieces. I’m probably going to buy a breadbaord, multi-metre and components.

I know it doesn’t have anything to do with robots but… I also got gillette fusion power razor  best shave of my life

This was a nice christmas!

I’ll be joining the ranks of the people able to do their own boards!

As a joke, my parents bought me a RoboRaptor. LOL It’s kind of a neat toy. Would have had a lot of fun with it when I was young.

Merry Christmas guys!!!

I got a Fluke 115 multimeter and a small butane torch/hot air thingy/soldering iron.

I also got solder wick, iron tips, ect.

Merry christmas everyone! :stuck_out_tongue:

I have been playing with all my toys and loving it. I have been getting down and dirty with the 3D software!

Here’s a pic of one of several designs I plan to machine.

Those are Awesome!!!

Real nice work! Can I ask wich software taht you are using?

I’m using ViaCad 2D/3D software. I have tried several 3D apps and ViaCad is my favorite. Alibre Design software is very good also but it did not have some of the special tools I needed such as line slice and feature browser that lets you suppress any feature of a part. Its possible Alibre has these functions but I was not able to figure out how to do it with the free version.

ViaCad was a perfect fit for my needs.
