Merge power wire on Servos?

I am making a small hexapod. 18 servos needs a lot of room for those wires. In order to save some room I decide to cut wires and make it short. Before do that I got a question. Is it OK if I merge 3~6 servos wires together and only keep signal wire individually?

For example, Can I group 2 front legs, knees and hips voltage wire as one wire and Ground as another one set, then only keep 6 signal wires by themselves. So, I only have 8 wires from servos to controller board for 2 legs.

If that's too many, maybe make 3 servos as a set? I am using 9G servos, if possible I'd like to only keep 20 wires for 18 servos :P Thanks for any suggestion and please stop me if that's way too stupid idea.

Sure you can combine power wires.

Just realize that each servo pulls current when it is moving. The wire you have feeding power and grounding your servos needs to be able to supply the current that is drawn. There are tables that show the amount of current a given wire gauge can handle based on an average length. For instance, if you have 3 servos on one power pair and your servos draw 1A each, you need to be able to supply 3A.

Thanks for all inputs guys.

Thanks for all inputs guys. Much appreciated. To play safe I will bundle 1 leg(3 servos) as one set. Picture will be soon posted as new robot. Haven’t made any new robot for while.
