Hi,
I’m having weird issue with freshly out of the box MD10-POT.
I’m using the standard mecanical 2 way switch that came with the kit. When i use the pot to control speed, it work only for one direction.
For the other to function, i need to turn the pot to 95% or nothing but a high frequency PWM is audible.
I’m curious if this is normal that only one way is able to be adjusted from the POT and not the other?
Can it be a faulty motor driver?
This is pretty straight forward, power goes to connector “POWER+ -” and motor goes to “MOTOR + -”. The pot and switch are connected to DIR and SPEED.
I tried switching the motor polarity but the problem remains under the direction that have a red LED labelled “MB”.
I should have test the voltage at the motor first. I found out that the voltage drops like the psu isnt able to follow.
It does the same what ever side i used but that certainly isn’t good and might cause my issue i guess?
I’ll try using a battery i have around, that should be enough to sort wich is the culprit
I did not have to try code because i’m using all in analog. I’m using the mecanical single pole double throw that came with the board i dont send PWM to the module.
This morning i tried with a better power solution and i get the exact same behaviour, so this is not a power issue.
I also test the pot and it read exactly 4,5ohm and 10,8k at both position.
I guess this confirm that the board might be bad from the start…
The only support method i found on the website is to write here…
