MD10-POT Board voltage output question

Hi,

I’m planning on using the MD10-POT with a 12v motor. My question is regarding the voltate output for the motor:

Is the output always putting 12v or it depends on the input voltage to the board?
I mean the board accept 7-30volt so i want to make sure that i can use for exemple a 19v 3.5a laptop psu and still output 12v to the motor.

Regards

Chris

Hi @Bust4_Rhymes and welcome to the forum.

As far as I know, which voltage you apply to the input terminals, that voltage will go to the motors also.

Otherwise, how can system know if you are using 12VDC or 24VDC motor for example?

Hi @igor_X

Thanks for your quick reply!
You are right that there are no “jumper” or other ways of telling wich voltage you expect at the output.
It should work with the input voltage like you said then

Thanks

Hi @Bust4_Rhymes ,

But pay attention. If you use 19VDC power supply, you will get 19VDC on the motor.

Hi, @igor_X ,

Sure i will stick with my 12v 3A psu and will upgradet to 5 or 10a if current isn’t enough for the motor.
