MD03

Hello I have a tech question. I have 3 MD03 Motor controllers on my flight sim now. I am going to a 6dof so I need to buy 3 more but I see the MD03 have been replaced with a MD04. Does any body know if the new will respond the same as the MD03?

Hi,

For all intents and purpose (minus requiring a higher minimum voltage to operate, from 5 V DC to 8 V DC now), the boards look like they are exactly the same controller and should therefore perform reasonably similar.

Just to be on the safe side, though, we have contacted the manufacturer to obtain more details about this. We will post here again once we have more details.

Here is a copy of the response from the manufacturer:

The MD04 should provide all the modes that are direct replications of the MD03 modes. The MD03 mode was set with a piano switch, this was changed with the MD04 to be set with a USB connection and allowed us to add a serial mode. Once the mode is set via USB it is remembered by the module and does not require setting with each power cycle.
