Max load on a standard CH3-R?

So. I bought a CH3-R kit a few days ago and i am reading up on some stuff while waiting on the delivery.

I have a question though.

I was planning on adding some custom electronics to it and maybe an arm or something. The custom mods will probably be around 500 - 600g.

Can the HS-475HB servos handle this or will i have to upgrade to stronger servos?

What is the max load capacity of the standard CH3-R kit?

Thanks!

Unfortunately there are no hard and fast rules for hexapod robot payload. It’s difficult to quantify for many reasons. What is the acceptable current draw under the increased load? What amount of performance degradation is allowed before it’s “too much”. I have never added much weight to the CH3-R with 475 servos. I have tested it carrying a can of coke with no problems. I usually say around 16 ounces would be no problem. Using 645 servos allows a lot more weight to be added.

Alright.

Thanks for the help!
