Malfunctioning chicken coop D20 motor

Hi,

My chicken coop D20 motor is malfunctioning. When I plug it in, it does not turn smoothly. It’s jerkily turning, a couple of millimeters at a time. I dissembled the whole thing and no reel or gears seem broken or stripped.
Could it be the board or the motor itself? I don’t know what to look for now.
Thank you!

Hi @YRouleau and welcome to our forum.

We are sorry to hear about the problem.

It could maybe be the issue with power supply adapter.

Did you check it with voltmeter?

Thank you.

Hi!
We checked the voltage coming out from the black and red wires after the control board, and I get 14V. Same thing when I check the voltage coming out under the connector for the AC/DC adaptor-- before going in the control board. We even tried to connect the power, from the connector directly to the motor, by skipping the control board. We put a wire in between where the current is coming out (under the connector) and the connections on the motor. It still did the same jerking.
This makes me think that it might be the motor itself.

Thank you!
