Making the robot in the tutorial...( a build thread of sorts)

I plan on taking pictures of progress, and sharing useful information in this thread. I did find the link to the kit, but as you mentioned it is out of stock…
I tried to call today, but the offices were closed. So do you think i will be able to get all the necessary parts if i contact the support center?

Hi senad187,

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. Did you order the parts corresponding to the example at the bottom of each lesson? If yes, this is already a commercially available product called the RobotShop Rover, which is available as a partial kit or complete kit. Although it’s not on the website at this time, we can certainly sell the frame and hardware bag on its own (RB-Rbo-11). You can contact us via the Support Center for pricing. The Sony camera does not seem to be wireless, and it looks a bit large for the platform.

Sincerely,

Hi senad187,

We have updated the stock status and the rover should be back in stock now. The plastic tank tracks will be replaced with rubber ones (much quieter with a higher friction coefficient). It is possible you called outside normal business hours which is 9-4pm Eastern standard time. If you are interested in the RobotShop Rover frame only (RB-Rbo-11), we have reactivated it so it can be ordered separately. We look forward to seeing your progress.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

There are example sketches (code) within the Arduino software. For example, Blink is there under “Digital”.

Sincerely,

You will also find the CAD files in the product page under the Useful Links section: RB-Rbo-12

Make sure you share some pictures of your results in the forum. It will be very interesting for many people for sure!
