am a Nigerian and I have bin trying to make a tricopter for years now but i seem not to be getting it right…i have designed my props from the available local materials. I want to know the direction of the propellers of a toy tricopter and other hints in making it
Hi perrazzi,
We can sure help you with that project. Do you have pictures of what you already did and/or information about the components used ?
Propeller direction will be linked to the type of controller you are using.
Using a MultiWii flight controller, the rotations are in attachment.
Yes I have the images of what am doing but my phone can’t post it directly to this page but it can be emailed . It was in that direction but it still wasn’t able to fly
There are so many things involved in making a Tri-Copter.
Without proper information from your side it’s really hard to know what does’t work for you.
- Pictures of the copter and wiring
- Model and type of all the electronics used
- Testing explanation and results
THESE ARE THE PICTURES, i would be glad if i am being told what to do for the tricopter to fly… or i could just make a dron if that one will be more simpler
i got the moters from computer CD ROM since i could not get one close by
Your setup will not work as it is because you do not have any of the needed components.
To do a proper Tricopter you will need:
]A flight controller that handle Tricopter configuration (MultiWii Flight Controller)/:m]
]Motors matched to the size copter you want to fly (weight etc) most of the time Brushless (UAV & Drone Motors)/:m]
]ESC’s made for your motors (Electronic Speed Controller)/:m]
]Propellers in both Clockwise and Counter-clockwise rotation made for copters (UAV & Drone Propellers)/:m]
]A Yaw mechanism with a R/C servo/:m]
]Strong frame construction without any play or vibrations (UAV & Drone Frames / Mechanics)/:m]
]Battery that is also matched to the motor needs and usually LiPo (UAV & Drone Power & Wiring)/:m]
