MakeBlock XY Plotter not working w/ GRemote application

Hi, I’ve completed assembling the plotter but am having problems establishing communication with it.

I’ve been able to download the GCodeParser sketch via the Arduino IDE (1.8.5) - Successful with Arduino NOT with Leonardo as I found out online forums. Pen servo moves afterwards.

After closing the Arduino IDE, I open GRemote app. I can change the Port to the correct value and the CMD window shows an INIT being sent. However, there is no further response on either the CMD window or the GRemote window. I can hit Pause and Cancel buttons and they echo the commands onto the CMD window but nothing happens. I’ve clicked the SEND FILE button and selected the Demo CNC file (Fish) but that doesn’t do anything either.

At this point I don’t know what else to try. I can’t find any info on the GRemote app; no help files, set up files, etc. Can you provide that info?

I need your help here. More specific and detailed instructions are necessary. Thanks, Randy

Have you looked at the Software Manual found on the product page under Useful Links? It contains much information about setting up the software. It may be also a good idea to look at the User Manual

For a (very) complete list of instructions with detailed videos and pictures of the process, please go here. The manufacturer also recommends asking questions directly on their instructable (comments) if you face any issues.

Please look at those resources and let us know if it helps / how you resolved your issue if you did and what was the cause. This type of information would certainly be helpful for others who may have a similar issue in the future.

If you do have further issues after trying out what is mentioned above, the best may be to simply contact the manufacturer directly. You can do so here.
