Makeblock x-y plotter Arduino Uno/Orion Shield

Hello,

I have the x-y plotter kit and it is built. I am using an Arduino Uno with Orion Uno Shield. Is there anything different about the loading and using the software? When I connect with GRemote it says connected but I get no response from the plotter at all. No flashing lights or any movement. It says init started but nothing happens. I have used the MBlock Arduino Libraries stepper examples to test motor movement and I can get the steppers working, so I know the wiring is correct. But when I reload the Arduino with the GParser.ino, the system just displays ‘init started’. No activity at all.
Can anyone help?

Hi Glenn,

Have you downloaded the All-in-One Package (182.81mb) from MakeBlock ?
If you are able to make the motor move in a test sketch, you should be able to do it with the full system. Make sure all the IO’s pins are the same and match your project.

Howdy Eric, thanks for your reply. The link you provided is the link I used to install the software. I still don’t have it working but I am going to try a ME Orion board. Not the arduino orion shield. I will let you know if that works.
