Makeblock: Ultimate Robot Kit (instructions and experiences

Hi, I’m considering purchasing this kit, as it seems like it has great potiental even if it is a bit pricey. i like the idea of 10 actual builds avail to get a good idea on how to put different parts together as a starting point for our own creations.

However, I’m wondering i the web page for selling the product is accurate. Does the kit as sold actually include build instructions for the all the models shown? The web page says “build more than 10 robotic products”, but the link on the page to instructions seems to be a reference for one build only — with a page that says “Robot Ideas”. The link within the PDF seems to be to a page with CAD drawings that are not exactly accible to a 8 year old, let alone a 45 year old like me.
I have some light experience with both Arduino and Erector sets (in my youth), but there is no way I could build, let alone guide my son into building any of the models shown without some breakdown.

For example, my son is really interested in the ball launcher build.

I’m hoping there are more directions available that simply aren’t linked, because it seems like a kit with great potential.

Can you provide a link to the product you are considering? If it’s the Makeblock Ultimate Robot Kit, there are assembly instructions for each of the 10 robots included with the product.

Hi Coleman:

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, that is the product I am referring to.

On that page, under useful links, the linked PDF document is the build instructions for one of the projects. Page 3 (4)? referers to a webpage on grabcad.com , but unless I am missing something, does not actually have instructions, just CAD diagrams.

Perhaps you can point me to one or two of the other build documents, or just confirm they are only in print form. I just want to be sure to avoid a purchase on a misunderstanding.

Thanks!

d.

Thank you! Strange place to post, and even the makeblock.cc site doesn’t host them (What’s that all about?). SO, thank you.
