Makeblock starter robot kit IR, choppy forward (video)

Hi, I have an IR starter robot kit. It worked great at first, but it can’t move forward normally now. It happened around the same time I was playing with Scratch and reinstalling the IR sketch in arduino. I also switched motor polarity when using scratch so I was unplugging the orange motor connectors - maybe I broke something on the Orion board?

The left blue LED by the motor output is dim, while the right blue and two green LEDs are bright. You can see this in the video, too.

I posted a video on youtube to help:

In the video I hold down the forward and reverse buttons on the IR remote. Reverse is normal and fast, while forward is slow and choppy.

The arduino sketch is from a fresh install of arduino downloaded from the makeblock site here m learn.makeblock.com/en/learning- … ogramming/ m

Thanks for your time,

Hi,

The choppy forward may be due to the code and the ultrasonic interface. Did you modify the code or is it the original code? Maybe try to reload the example code to make sure there is no error. Also, make sure the ultrasonic sensor is connected properly. We don’t think you broke anything on the board otherwise it would have problems even in reverse mode.

You could also try resetting the default program in mBlock to see if it works.

Let us know if any of these recommendations fixes the robot.
Best regards,
