I am a technology teacher at a K-8th Grade school. I was wondering if you recommend the mbot v1.1 or the mbot Ranger for 11-13 year olds. Which one will allow greater flexibility and educational possibilities?
Also, can you add the LED matrix to the mbot Ranger or does it only work with the mbot v 1.1?

The software for these kits is identical, and is certainly intended for students of that age.

You can use this to create a number of different robots and would be considered more versatile.

Intended for the mBot V1.1 but can be used with the Ranger (need to find a way to mount it though).
