Why not?
Why shoulden’t I use series 1?
Does it have some loop holes?

I think the thread went a little funny here…
You are asking about series one x-bees in response to my comment about adapters so I don’t know where to go here –
The adapater, what I said above is still true. The X-bee’s use metric (I think it is 2mm spacing --might be 1mm spacing) on the pins. Breadboards and protoboards and everything else uses a .1" spacing on the holes. To be able to plug your x-bee into anything, you need either A) a PCB that was designed for an x-bee and has female headers to accept it or B) an adapter. There are countless adapters out there, including ones with FTDI built-in --handy for configuring your x-bees.
In terms of the series, x-bee sorta lost their way in terms of the “middle” of their line. The series 1’s work great and the Pro’s work great, the 2’s are a royal pain in the ass to configure, are hard to set-up for 2-way communication and no one on the internets knows how to make them go. If you want to save some money during your testing phase, buy a pair of series ones. If you want to get the super-fancy ones (that you might eventually use in the plane) go ahead and get the pro’s. Just don’t get the series 2’s.
Yessorry thats what I wanted
Yes
sorry thats what I wanted to know about the Xbee’s
thanks alot
Okay I wanna save money
Okay I wanna save money now…and also want more than 100 m range
The xbee series 1 has a range of 100m
while the pro has range of 900-1600m
pro is costlier. and insted of buying 2 pro’s, If i buy a series 1 and a pro.
Then will I get more range.
for example like if i use the pro to transmit data to 900m and the xbee series1 in the aircraft will receive all dete in its 100 range?
Is this idea right? will it give me good range?
blinking
I think it may be time to just get a LED to blink and worry about the transmitter and receiver later.
Hmm
Waiting for the anduino delivery,
My codes for 3 servo 3 led’s (blinking like on realaircraft ) and the code for brushless motor is ready and is waiting to get installed on an arduino.
Hi Chris…Got my
Hi Chris…
Got my fingers burnt…
Just to show you I can make an led blink… and not just an led.
A whole 3x3x3 cube controlled by arduino…
should I post a video?
What say???
xbee connection
Hey can I make xbee pro to talk to xbee series 1?
if yes, then will it increase my range?
like the xbee series 1 has a range of max 100m and that of pro has max 1200m
so will this combination give me a greater range than 100m?
its the same question as I asked earlier now that I can blink an LED I think I should think about the Tx and Rx now
