Being a fan of the Macross/Robotech series of anime, I found an old Zentraedi officer’s battlepod and decided to repurpose it to walk. I have been working on this for a few months now, continually redesigning the leg structure, however I think I am about there. After getting frustrating results with the Arduino, I finally discovered the Lynxmotion SSC-32U board and control software, which finally enabled me to control multiple servos at one time.
This is the first walk, of which I am very pleased.
And with all the parts added and a rudimentary paint job. Still need to add details though to give it a weathered, beaten look.
