I would like to control 8 solenoids from an Apple Macintosh. any suggestions?

Can you provide us with more info about these solenoids? voltage, current?

Do you want to control them live or do you mean program them?

Thanks for your interest. I want to use this 5V Solenoid - RobotShop solenoid. I have a Java program I wrote that I want to control them from, the Java program will sequence the solenoids to create a Music Box.
