I want to modify the M100RAK stock configuration to increase its lifting capacity at the end-effector (because I want to attach a 3DOF gripper which is quite heavy). For this, I am planning to install an additional tube mount gearbox at the shoulder and elbow joint each (something similar to this configuration crustcrawler.com/products/AX-18F%20Smart%20Robotic%20Arm/). However, I am not sure, would the new configuration work or not? I don’t see any difficulty in mounting the additional gearboxes at the shoulder and elbow joints however, I am confused about their synchronized operation. Would the two servos (in the shoulder and elbow joints) run synchronously without any lag? If one lags behind the other, this might result in breakage. Any recommendations?
