I am using Lynxterm to run my robotic arm and everything works great except for when I try to read from the EEPROM(EER) or when I try to use a query command(Q or QPL). It never returns the correct value, or sometimes no value. Is there something I’m doing wrong? I have 6 complete sequences I’ve written into the EEPROM and they work great, I just can’t get any correct return values from Lynxterm. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
What did you use to put the sequences into the eeprom?
The qpl replies with binary values. You will not be able to read them in the Lynxterm window. The q command replies with . or + and should be viewable in Lynxterm. Other causes of this no working might be make sure both of the jumpers are installed on the SSC-32’s DB9 enable.
I used the EEW command to write the sequences into the EEPROM. Also, with the “Q” command it always returns “.” no matter if the arm is moving or not.
We need to establish some basic information here.
What PC make and model are you using? Laptop or desktop? OS?
What firmware are you using on the SSC-32?
Provide the sequence information.
Provide clear in focus images of the board and it’s wiring.
Please provide a list of what you have done in a step by step format.
The more information you provide the easier this will be to resolve.
