Do you have any documentation of the blink codes for the ps2 v3 controller set up. My unit was working great then after about a half hours use both the leds started blinking and will not connect. Everything was working correctly with no changes to set up or code. What happened??

Sorry, the V4 set up. The controller leds ( green red) blink for 30 seconds then shut off. green led on receiver is on and stays on.

What code specifically? Note there is an Arduino PS2 library you can use to verify the output on the serial terminal. If you left the controller on, the batteries die rather quickly.

Bill porters library. I just got the controller last Friday. I did have this working with no changes to the code ( reading button presses, stick values etc) and also changed the batteries in the controller. I have checked with a couple different 5v sources with the same results. The Leds on the controller (green and red) blink at the same rate for about 30 seconds the shut of with no connection. I hit start on the controller to start the (I’m assuming syncing) process over again with same results.
Any suggestions?

It sounds like a power issue - try fresh batteries in the controller, and re-upload the code just in case.

Yes, I have replaced the batteries a couple times and uploaded the same previous code that was used when it did work. I don’t think its a connection to the arduino, I think the wireless module and the controller are not connecting to each other. Previously they would seemingly connect even if there was no code uploaded to the arduino. The Led on the controller would go solid green. Is there a blink code diagram out there for this unit?

Not really - there’s a PS2 example which uses the serial terminal:

Note that the pinout changes.

Yee, I’m aware. I’ve been using bill porters stuff for about three years now. I just recently purchased this controller to switch to wireless instead of having a tether. The remote should connect to the receiver (solid green light on controller) even ifor only the power and ground is hooked up. It’s not doing that.

Can you upload a few clear photos of the setup (electronics) especially showing the pinout?
It really does sound like if it worked for a while, the batteries in the transmitter are drained.
