Lynxmotion tracks on rough terrain

Hi…has anyone here actually used Lynxmotion tracks ….and ran the bot on rough terrain? If so …how did the tracks perform?

The tracks are made out of plastic with rubber insert. They can be used on rough terrain, but it will come down to how they are used and what punishment they are subjected to.
Can you describe the terrain and conditions a bit?

I am interested in building a small bot that is basically a weed trimmer that can traverse terrain with gopher holes, large rocks as well as steep slopes that can be rough to do weed trimming tasks. Small enough to go around fence posts and go over the gopher holes, rocks etc. that can be found in this type of terrain. I have a bigger 4wd bot I built for mowing, but it is too big to get in and out of these areas. It will be a tool, not a toy. And I do not mean any offense by that but my interests are for bots that assist me in tasks that are a pain or dangerous to do.

The Lynxmotion track system may work. The main issue will not be the tracks but the sprockets since they are made out of fairly thin injection molded ABS.

Thanks …I saw those but those are way too expensive for this purpose.
