If there is someone here that is familiar with the Lynxmotion software then hopefully you can give me an idea of whether I should be able to set an output with a step.
I’m using Lynxmotion software. When I use the test function for Output 8 I get a digital signal.
Under the moves section while defining the steps in a sequence there is a checkbox for outputs. When I check the output 8 for that box it doesn’t stay there nor does it pulse that output on a step through or playback.
Is it possible to get an output to go high and stay there with the software?
While I’ve never used the output function of RIOS, that should be possible. Go ahead and take a look at the RIOS help file. (Page 13 should have some useful information.)
The help file that i’ve been looking at for rios is all of 16 pages long. Page 13 actually covers exporting projects. While the descriptions are helpful and very brief it isn’t a very comprehensive document.
5.2 Outputs options on page 9 give a brief tour of various fields for conditioning the signal.
Under moves there are inputs and outputs that you can define. The output section appears to be a row of boxes that can be checked (to implement the aforementioned conditioned signal from the options) but it does not work. You can check the box and there is not an output on a step through. You can attempt to save the step with the output selected and it will clear the field instead.
Is there something more to this?
You must not be using the latest version of RIOS. The manual is actually 29 pages. It’s free and easy to upgrade. Just go to the RIOS product page and click on the product for more information. After you are using the latest version let us know if you still need help. Hope this helps.
Guess I didn’t realize how out of date that software is. That definitely made a difference. It appears to do what it should now. Thanks!
Glad you got it going!
