I have recently purchased the Lynxmotion rover kit A4WD1CB-KT (order# 102696). I was able to assemble and test the kit (bot II and sabercat 2x10) with wired PS2 controller using “ps2a4wd1.bas” program mentioned in assembly guide. But I’m not able to make Lynxmotion PS2 wireless controller to pair up. The red LED on the receiver keeps blinking while green stays solid and also the controller LED is blinking RED. I have attached the photo of my setup. I couldn’t confirm if this is Lynxmotion PS2 controller or receiver problem because I was not able to even pair up a pelican (predator) PS2 wireless controller which otherwise works fine with PS2 console. But botII works fine with PS2 wired controller! Please let me know if I’m missing/messing something here.
I think from the picture that your wiring may be correct, but it is hard to see which color wires are hooked up to where for the PS2.
Is the Brown wire on Pin12?
Some things that have bit me in the past include:
a) VL battery for BB2 does not have a proper charge. Or batteries in PS2 controller…
b) On the power selection for pins 12-15 make sure you are supplying +5v not VS. This is area #13 on BB2 diagram: lynxmotion.com/images/html/b … htm#bb2lay
c) Try only connecting up the power and ground to PS2 and see if it will pair up then.
Hi Kurt, Yes the brown wire is connected to Pin12 and blue wire connected to Pin15. The batteries I have used were fully charged; I got it charged just before I ran this test. Power selection for Pin12-15 were indeed connected to +5v. I tried connecting just the power to the receiver but that didn’t work either. I also checked the voltage at P15 power pin and was at 4.98v.
I checked Lynxmotion controller with PS2 console, that doesn’t work. The strange part is I have a pelican wireless controller which works with PS2 console but doesn’t work with botII either.
