Lynxmotion Pan and Tilt Kit Direction

I’m considering purchasing the Lynxmotion Pan and Tilt Kit w/ two Hitec HS-422 servo motors for use in a Arduino controlled iPhone mount. I’m new to the whole robotics scene and was reading the spec sheets for the HS-422 and I am a little confused.

First and foremost, it says that the rotational direction is: CLOCK WISE/PULSE TRAVELING 1500 TO 1900usec. Now, does this mean that the servo only turns clockwise, therefore the pan would only be clockwise/one direction? Or reversible/two directions?

Secondly what is the rotational range of this kit? 180 degrees? 360 degrees? What would be recommended for 360 degrees or continuous rotation for the panning?

All motors we offer can rotate in either direction. 1500 is 0 degrees and sending a pulse of 1900 rotates the horn clockwise.

180 degrees for the 422. We don’t offer any 360 degree servos with position feedback. If you want continuous rotation for panning, we suggest the 1425CR (you control speed but not position).
