Hello my friends,
I have assembled a Linxmotion Arm, and was about to use the Dual Lynx Arm Controller to attempt a config.
When I ran the install file, I noticed that there was two icons that appeared. One was a “Dual Lynx Arm Controller”, and the other the “Lynx Arm Config” Icon. It was late at night, so please forgive me if I installed 2 programs, thinking it was 1.
I found an issue with both. Maybe its an error on my side. 
- The Dual Lynx Controller icon - Wont seem to run when I click on it. I get a windows error message. The message is: “Windows cannot open this file: IK X Y Player Rebuild V1_4_0_1.fsm”
Maybe a re-install is in order?
- When I run the “Lynx Arm Config” - I am able to get through the config steps 1 & 2! The arm moves! COOL!
But when I get to step 3, it asks me to Shut the arm off, and then On again - indicating this is a VERY important step.
Unfortunately, when I shut the arm off and on again - the arm stops responding, and the GREEN light on the board is solid (not receiving).
I attempted to NOT shut the arm off, and proceed - but again, it loses responsiveness. My calibration is at a stand still.
SO! here is some info on my side.
I am using Windows 7, with a Proper USB to serial Chord. I have defined my paramiters in the Hardware settings to only have 1 Latency, and it is running on Com 4 (port)
Any advice my friends?
JIM told me to use Flowbotics… and Im in the process of DL that now, but wanted to give ya a heads up with my discoveries. As mentioned, maybe it was my tired eyes that had the issues - so Im sorry If im sending you on a wild goose chase! Hope this helps in some way
