Here is a new Crazy2Fly Thread; we’ll use this talk about it, post pictures, projects, questions and more!
--------------------------------- Taken from our Website ---------------------------------
The Crazy2Fly multi-rotor UAV is a smaller, high performance quadcopter. The Crazy2Fly can be flown in either ‘+’ or ‘x’ configurations. The Crazy2Fly is smaller than the VTail and considerably easier to understand and fly. Don’t let its simplicity and low cost fool you though - the Crazy2Fly lives by its name, and is capable of high speed aerial acrobatics and is a thrill to fly.
The frame of the Crazy2Fly uses G10 fiberglass composite which is incredibly rigid and lightweight and offers significant price advantages over carbon fibre. The hardware is entirely metal, using lightweight aluminium standoffs, steel screws and lock nuts.
You know anything can be made…
I think the best would be to have a plate that has the industry standard 45mm between hole and bolt it to the frame.
Your APM is the one with or without the plastic case ?
Most frames in the market use 45x45mm flight controller mounting holes.
It’s not the same actual plate for all frames, but with similar mounting pattern.
45x45mm and 30.5x30.5mm are present.
Here are two pictures with the APM in the Crazy2Fly (i just took…)
So one could just double side tape it to the plate (Note that there are standoffs under the APM because … they where there…)
My APM is buried in a control box for my 6WD HexaTraxx 'bot, I haven’t dug it out yet. Neither did I find a drawing for it’s mountings, yet. So, no problems! But maybe I’ll just use your NAV board, so that I don’t have to rob my RoboMagellan 'bot.
We have put the Crazy2Fly kits online on Lynxmotion last Friday.
They are on Pre-Order only as we are waiting on two damn custom cable to finish the kits.
How about a nice Crazy2Fly video showing the capabilities of the “Lynxmotion Crazy2Fly Drone (Base Combo Kit)”?
We have a very capable (but confidential) test pilot who made this flight test for us.
We are happy to release the Crazy2Fly sticker kits, so you can customize the look of your frame.
It includes two full sheets of material that can be applied to the top or bottom arm plates.
Here you can see the look of the blue stickers applied to the Crazy2Fly arms. Note that you can apply them on the surface you need, for the look you want.
