Lynxmotion AL5

hello

i have been looking on your web site and there are some things i wanted to purchase, but before i place an order i have some enquires.

there is a robotic arm on your website which i am interested in

Lynxmotion AL5

i have some questions as i want to use this in my project.

am i able to use a pic microcontroller to programme the hand and can i use flowcode to help me

and will the servo motors be able to give me feedback on position and speed

will it be able to reset it self to default position.

my idea is i want to use a pic to programe this hard ware to pick up and empty can on an assmbly line built by myself .

i would be very gratefull for any information provided

thank you for your time

will be looking forward to hearing from you

ISA KIWANUKA

thank u for your help but as always ders a but

i dont understand what u mean by “The servo motors have their own internal controller that uses position feedback to reach the desired angle but you cannot access this feedback signal from outside the servo.” ???

i want the pic to be able to control the position and speed depending on information it gets from sensors (if dat makes any sense i.e sensor to detect if an object is present den appropriate action to be taken)

and flow code is a programmer for micro controllers but a simple way

The robot arm is controlled by serial commands, so you can use any type of microcontroller that can use this communication method, including the PICs.

We are not familiar with flowcode, but you could use it as long as it allows for sending serial messages.

The servo motors have their own internal controller that uses position feedback to reach the desired angle but you cannot access this feedback signal from outside the servo.

Going back to a Home position is certainly possible.

Your project looks very interesting so don’t be shy to post some pics!
