Lynxmotion A-pod hexapod firmware

Hi there,

I’ve recently bought hardware for Lynxmotion A-pod hexapod robot, now I’m wondering how to program it. Is there step by step guide (a video guide would be wonderful) and standard software (firmware) that I use as a starting point?
I would expect for the robots some stock software should be available, isn’t it the case?

PS: I tried to find something in internet myself, but Arduino sketches didn’t work out of the box - either missing libraries or unknown board. Can I use the standard Arduino IDE? (Windows, 1.6.7) Do I need special libraries or another entire environment to work with BotBoarduino?
PPS: I have the hardware itself + servos + ssc-32u + botboarduino

Currently the sample code for the A-Pod Buino kit does not include motion for the head / mandibles or tail, and requires a PS2.
