Okay, I’ll leave the brushed metal to SN96, he seems to have that down pretty well. Heres my try at it.

Went for a glassy metal look (lexan), can also pass off as aluminum. This logo is available without the SES arms as well.

Two words: outer glow
I don’t know, outer glows tend to make things look amateur, especially when used improperly. They are usually either a) overdone or b) look distracting.

Yeah and it looks a bit distracting.
Ive been a graphics & motion designer for 6 years so I have my own peeves.
