i know there a psots on this but my question not answered, or i am just a dill …I have a usb to serial cable its a belkin brand… i have plugged all necessary chords into the ssc and switched power on (using adapter not battery)… led lights up green. I have read other posts about flashing green means receiving data etc… but couldnt follow threads enough to mimic my problem.
My L5 arm moved when i first plugged in and turned on and it has not moved since. The green light does not flash and just stays on green. The serial usb cable has a led indicator indicating connection status and it appears the serial is plugged into the arm fine and connection is made.
Got lynxterm pressed “all=1500” nothing happened. There were three COM ports available 3, 8 and 9 tried all and i connected to each fine, but my arm has not moved
First thing to do is to check what baud rate jumpers you have on your SSC-32 and make sure that is the baud rate you are using with Lynxterm or SEQ or whichever program it is that you are trying.
Also make sure you only have one program running that is trying to connect wo which ever IO port is assigned to your USB to serial port.
i dont know what you mean by check baud rate on ssc32 it is 11532 or something when i check that in lynxterm … and i have tried all COM ports and none of them work
all i know is that i have one serial port at the back of my PC tower… but my computer monitor or something plugged into that which is why i got usb to serial… the usb is connected fine… the serial to usb connected to usb ports to the fron of my pc tower, where i have a mouse inserted also… i have other things connected to back of tower like keyboard etc… otherwise im not sure about other technicialities, giving the arm more power etc etc… please assist
