Lynx 5 position measurement with Wheel Watcher ww01 HELP

Hi, everyone
I am currently developing a project with the old fashion Lynx5 robotic arm. I have been able to control the motion with joystick and Atmega48 and some hardware of my own, I am not using RIOS.

I know that servos have an inner hardware to adjust the position set point automatically, but Even though the arm has been working fine, I would like to measure the position of each joint. I want to know if someone has ever tried using nubotics Wheel watcher WW01 for this purpose or if there would be a better idea/hardware/software to accomplish the same task?

You can read the voltage from the servo pot to generate the current servo position. Some info below.
