LSS Arm dead not responding

Hi Forum

I have been playing my LSS Arm all day and haven’t noticed any burning smells or any detectable damage to the components.

The arm has stopped responding. The little signal light flashes only once and the previously running script finishes without error, but the arm does nothing.

Very occasionally as I debug this one or two of the servos will respond but then they go back to becoming unresponsive as I narrow down the test program.

Its like the arm has broken. I can’t believe it!

Thank you for posting on the RobotShop Community.

1. How are you controlling the Arm ? (Flowarm/Computer through USB, Custom code on a Raspberry Pi, Arduino sketch, etc…)

2. If you are using Raspberry Pi/Arduino to control the arm, could you test your arm with LSS Flowarm ?

• Download Flowarm here: https://www.robotshop.com/en/lynxmotion-lss-lss-flowarm-app-download.html
• LSS Adapter should be in USB mode (switch on USB)
• All servos should be at 115200 baudrate
• Connect to Flowarm following the instructions here: https://wiki.lynxmotion.com/info/wiki/lynxmotion/view/servo-erector-set-system/ses-software/lss-flowarm/#HConnectingviaUSB
• Calibrate the arm by storing the offsets as explained here: https://wiki.lynxmotion.com/info/wiki/lynxmotion/view/servo-erector-set-system/ses-software/lss-flowarm/#HInterface
• Try to move the arm by clicking on and dragging anywhere in the side view screen of the arm.
