LR3 Quickly flashing Yellow light and flashing blue light

Litter Robot 3 connect and non connect.
Blue light flashing, then when pressing Reset, the yellow light flashes quickly.
THEN pressing Reset repeatedly it cycles between the blue and yellow.
Empty and Cycle buttons do nothing.
Off button works.
Pinch contacts are OK and tested with multimeter.
Waste drawer is empty.
DFI sensors removed and thoroughly cleaned, they are type 1.
I have 2 main boards for Connect, new, and non Connect, which worked OK before upgrade to Connect and this worked OK after installation for a while.
Both boards give same errors.
All wiring and connectors checked, positive connections on bonnet, pinch and all other connections.
This happened suddenly when attempting to reset the DFI from blue flashing.
Any ideas?

Hi @jhlb and welcome to our forum!

The issue you described sounds like you need a new DFI sensor:

This is the new, improved version since the old one is not produced anymore.

Have you ever replaced the DFI sensor on your robot? Also, did you replace the metal pins in the past?

Or is maybe your robot still covered by warranty?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I have not replaced the original type 1 DFI sensors but have removed and cleaned the pinch connector pins.
At the moment, I am in contact with Whisker who are sending me a new Connect upgrade kit which is Warrantied.
However the rest of the LR3 was bought from you in 2021, so is not under warranty.
I will come back to you if the problem persists after I swap out the Connect circuit board.
Thank you.

Hi @jhlb ,

It is good that Whisker can support you in this case.

If the problem is still there after replacing the main circuit board, we recommend replacing the DFI sensor and all metal pins:
