The main circuit board has a tiny battery, what is it for?

Usually, these batteries on circuit board are meant for the clock.
Yes, I know and that’s why I am wondering about this. Since my LR3s are not of the “connecting”-type, I am wondering what these tiny batteries are for. Or could it have something to do with the timers for putting the LR to sleep or for example the timing between the globe cycling and the toilet business.
Probably you are right. Are you having some issues with the time?
