LR3 issue from some of the circuit boards or somewhere else?

How do the symptoms of problems with the main circuit board differ from those of the bonnet circuit board?

On two of my LR3s I have now replaced the DFI sensors and the hall-effect sensors, the anti-pinch pins, both the base contact pins and the bonnet terminal pins, the cat sensors (and tested different screw tightness) but the problem persists.

That is, the cleaning cycle is not smooth but stops with the yellow light blinking, and after a while the cycle may, or may no, continue again, this can be repeated several times during one cleaning cycle - alternatively the cycle stops and the globe remains on halfway or completely upside down. This also without cat litter and without the bin. Sometimes there is no cleaning cycle at all, just yellow light blinking.

The globe magnets and liner weights are in place, the motor rotation gears are also checked on both LR3s.

This is happening with two separate LR3s - the problems started around the same time. Nor can it be about the placement of them as they are placed on two different floors of the house where they have been for years.

Any ideas what to check next?

Hello @Leif ,

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with 2 of your Litter-Robots.

If the yellow light is blinking slowly when the cycle stops, this could be due to a few things:

1- The globe is wobbly and causes the bonnet to be pushed upwards and disconnect from the base (however, you said you have tried without the globe and the same issue persists)

2- You need to check the two wires connected to the nightlight’s circuit board as they might be loose or damaged.

3- Finally, you can check if this error only occurs when the room is dark and the nightlight is turned on.

If it’s the last one, then the bonnets will need to be replaced.

Let us know how it goes.

Sincerely,
