Low speed motor system

Hello everyone,

I’m new to the small motors community and need help setting up a motor system that spins at a few Hz. So I don’t need anything sophisticated, just something that’ll get the job done. Currently I have a UAV Brushless Motor A2212/10 1400Kv. I also have a control system that can provide up to 5V and a few milliamps. My question is:

  1. Can I get this motor to work for my application? If so, what else do I need to hook it up and get it to run?
  2. If this motor will not work then are there suggestions for what will?

Thanks in advance.

Hi abdull,

To make your brushless motor turn, you need a brushless controller and most people will use a R/C type ESC which take standard R/C signal in PWM (us).
Your motor would work out of a 15A to 20A depending of the load apply to it so the RB-Sup-14 but just like most ESC’s out there you need a voltage of 2-3s LiPo, 4-10 cells Ni-MH so around 6VDC.
