Low light wide angle board camera with light triggered capture

Hello,

I am looking for some specific hardware and I am hoping someone here may have an idea as to where to find it.

I need some low light board camera preferably with wide angle lenses that are triggered by a light sensor to send photos to windows computer via usb. (or even wireless would be fine).

I am working on a prototype/proof of concept for something that I can’t get into details about without having people sign NDAs. I looked at the usual board camera sites and I don’t see any way to do what I’m looking to do with one of their basic cameras however I am not an electronics expert (more of a software guy) so any help from any of you would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for any help at all, and for reading this.
Richard.

Hi there @A2D2Richard and welcome to the forum!

I suggest you look at the Cameras & Vision Sensors section.

Make sure you check out the Raspberry Pi camera modules which are a great option, like these two:

Those camera modules include two Infrared LED Boards, like this one:

They are also compatible with the Odseven 3 in 1 Lens Set that includes a wide-angle, fish-eye, and macro lens.

Hope that information can help you out!

Thank you I think that is exactly what I am looking for… You’re amazing. Thank you so very much. If this proof of concept I am building works… not only may my job be secured but the company I work for may be able to stay competitive in our industry.

Thank you again, I very much appreciate it!

I’m glad I could help

Good luck with the project :+1:
