Hi i am new on these forums and was wondering if in any way the Hitec HS-422 servo would be able to handle the weight of the biped or if they are just too weak in general.

Welcome to this forum.
Take a look at Alan’s Loki. I think he is using the futaba s3004 servos, they are about the same strength as your HS-422.
Just keep your batteries on a tether!

The BRAT is a 6 servo biped that can use the inexpensive 422 servos. However making a “humanoid” biped would require stronger servos.
