LoRaWAN Liquid Pressure Sensor

I am looking to monitor pressure in a water supply pipe. I want to do this using LoRaWAN. Do you have any devices or components that I could do this with please?

Hello @phlindop and welcome to the RobotShop community,

You could use a LoRa Sensor Node and a Pressure Sensor. But you can also find other options in the LoRa and Pressure Sensors sections of the store.

Hi @geraldinebc15

I have been looking at the LoRa available devices and most of them either require an external power supply or if they can run on batteries alone they are very expensive.

What I am looking for is the alternative to an expensive piezo electric sensors. The application does not require high accuracy as it is simply looking to observe pressure fluctuations in the water pipe under various operating modes - static, normal flow, free flow - so that abnormal modes can be identified. An operating range of 0-5bar would be more than enough and 0.1bar accuracy.

Any thoughts on supply that for PoC would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Paul

Hello!

Could you give us an estimate of your budget?

A good option would be using a LoRa Shield/HAT + SCB/Microcontrollerc and a I2C Pressure sensor, for example:
