Does it come with an app for tracking?
The LGT-92 is pre-loaded with a firmware and is configured as LoRaWAN OTAA Class A mode by default. It has OTAA keys to join LoRaWAN network. To connect a local LoRaWAN network, user just need to input the OTAA keys in the LoRaWAN IoT server and power on the LGT-92. It will auto join the network via OTAA. Is it waterproof? & How deep can it sustain?
No, it isn’t waterproof but Dragino does offer some other waterproof options, you can find them in this section of the store and simply look for the words “waterproof” or “outdoors”.
What is the range of transmission from land if its on a boat?
In general, in an urban environment with an outdoor gateway, you can expect up to 2 to 3km wide coverage, while in the rural areas it can reach beyond 5 to 7 km.
However, radio link quality and performances are highly dependent on environment.
Better performances can be reached with:
- Outdoor environment.
- No obstacles.
- No high level radio interfere in the ISM band you use.
- At least 1 meter above the ground.
Radio performances are degraded with:
- Obstacles: buildings, trees…
- Inner buildings environments.
- High ISM band usage by other technologies.
- Radio communication are usually killed with bad topographic conditions. It is usually not possible to communicate through a hill, even very small.
