Looking to use a linear actuator at a specific force

I am working on a project that requires me to use a linear actuator to hold at 1500lbs.
Do you have a product, possibly using a force sensor, or switch that might help me.
The actuator needs to close all the way, but when commanded on needs to hold at 1500 lbs.
This is currently under relay control, i would like to avoid plc control but would be willing to add additional boards.

Since you did not specify any characteristics other than maximum payload (such as travel distance, travel speed, voltage input, weight, etc.), here are some options based on that one criteria (payload):

If you happen to want a remote control for these actuators, the manufacturer offers this option: RB-Prg-09.
