Looking to build a grass court tennis line painting robot and need help!

This is my first post to these forums and I am hoping for some direction from the robot gurus. After looking through the many robotic platforms offered on this site, I think that a track driven robot might be the best option to build what is essentially a large line following robot. The machine wants to be heavy, slow and precise. Based on this, could anyone provide information on what sensors, processor and platform might be a good starting point? Has anyone built one of these?

Basically we would want to paint the lines accurately the first time and then have a robot maintain them by following and repainting.

I hope to spend less than $2000 on this project.

Unique problems might be:

Subtly uneven terrain
Robot would need to maintain course while painting
Needs to carry about 50 lbs of paint and painting apparatus

Thank you very much for any suggestions at this stage as heading off in the wrong direction literally and figuratively could be a big problem!

The only kit we carry that has tracks and is moderately heavy is the Lynxmotion Tri-Track Chassis Kit. Unfortunately, this kit doe not seem to be large enough for your application, but the tracks seem appropriate and they are sold separately. We believe you best option will be to create your own platform based on them.
