Looking for suggestions on color camera sensors

Hello,

I’m building a robot that will detect its orientation by looking at the sky. Currently I am
looking for a camera that has a wide field of view, fairly good resolution, and is sensitive in the short wavelength (blue - near UV) region. I would prefer some sort of digital camera as I would like to eventually integrate it with an Arduino. It looks like this company offers a “Color Serial JPEG Camera Module - TTL” (Product code : RB-Lin-24 ). I was wondering if this camera sounds appropriate or if anyone knows of any other cameras that would do a better job.

Thanks,
Julia

None of the cameras we carry seem appropriate for this application. Weather you are looking at the night or day sky, you will need to adjust the aperture and exposure of you camera in order to get a decent image. Also, we are not sure to understand how you could orient a robot using the day sky. Unfortunately, none of the cameras available have the required level of sensitivity or manual settings required for your application.
