Can anyone point me to a source for a small (similar in size to what LM sells), 12V gearmotor that has an output shaft speed somewhere between 1000 and 1500 RPM. As a back-up, I’m using belt and pulley to drive the thing and I’m willing to go to a 2:1 on the pulleys, so then the motor could be 500 - 750 RPM. I don’t have a good feel for the torque requirements yet, so I’m aiming for something in the 75 - 100 oz-in. range.
I’ve looked at all of the sites that sell robot stuff and the most RPMs I can find is 300.
It probably because most motors have a gear reduction on them, i bet if you took off the gear reduction u would find something close to that speed, how ever itwould be hard to find something with no reduction of that torque though
and yea, itd be hard to find a motor with that type of speed/torque ratio
Most of the motors I’ve seen have an ungeared speed of 4000 - 6000 RPM. So what I need is a reduction ratio of somewhere between 1:4 to 1:10. Most gearboxes do at least 1:20 and go up from there.
I doubt that I need anywhere near the 75 oz-in. mentioned above. I really have no idea at this point.
