Looking for rc tank esc suggestions under $25

I am working on a tank that i might run off of 2 - "Banebots FIRST CIM 12V 5280 RPM 345 oz-in Brushed DC Motor"s (Product code : RB-Ban-71 ). I need to know what ESC to hook up to it. any suggestions for under $25 each?

link for motor:robotshop.com/dc-motors.html

but will you have to use two ,or is it a dual motor controller .at this point if that ESC is large enough would it be better to get a -24v motor-(stronger, and faster)?

also will this other esc work if two used ,one for each side?,also is it variable, bi-directional speed? - Pololu 18v7 5.5-40V, 7A Motor Controller
Product code : RB-Pol-119robotshop.com/pololu-18v7-7a-motor-controller-2.html

sorry for all the Questions, but what type of battery would be best for this? how many channels does the SyRen consume? any suggestions for a radio (i prefer stick) and if a trigger type how do you program it to turn?

would the dx5e_5_channel_transmitter work for this ?hobby-lobby.com/dx5e_5_channel_transmitter_only_mode_2_1034654_prd1_1034663_prd1.htm

thank you very much.

Now that i look at it , i can’t find the syren 2x50A(i clicked on its hyper Link ) , when looking it up in Google it doesn’t exist. even if it does could you suggest maybe another 3 options for esc.

with the vex pro victor 884 esc and a cim motor what else do you need to control it with RC ?, just the esc , motor , receiver and battery? or do you need anything else ? : also could you possibly explain how to hook them up , at least a diagram need to know how to hook up battery, esc, motor, and receiver.

The BaneBots CIM motor is the most powerful motor we carry and in order to get variable, bi-directional speed, the associated controller will be rather expensive such as the SyRen 2x50A. Note too that in order to move a decent sized object, you’ll need a gear-down or reduction, so the motor spins far slower and with more torque. On its own it will spin too fast and not be able to move much.

7A is far less than you will need for the CIM motor, which can easily require up to 30A. If the motor controller can control two motors, it would indicate so in the title and/or essential points. The SyRen is a 2x50A, and therefore can control two motors.

The CIM motor needs quite a large battery - your start should be a 12V lead acid. If you want something lighter, you’ll need a very high capacity NiMh or LiPo pack (20Ah at minimum). RobotShop does not offer this size battery yet.

Two R/C channels (one per motor)

Really any R/C radio with two channels (or more) will work. The single ended servo cable will also be useful.

SyRen 50A 6V-30V Regenerative Motor Driver
Sabertooth Dual 60A 6V-30V Regenerative Motor Driver
2x Vex Pro 6-15V, 40A Victor Speed Controller + 12V Fan

Consider anything 40A or more. Keep in mind that some are single motor controllers while others are dual.

Sad news - we no longer carry the Victor controller. Instead suggest the SyRen and two R/C cables. You would connect it directly to the R/C receiver. The wiring diagram is included in the user manual.
