Hi all,
I have been looking for a 1" x 2" blue EL panel to retrofit into a piece of equipment. I found the 1" by the foot from all electronics, but it has an undesirable line down the middle… I have googled my fingers off, but I can’t find anything useful.
as in electro-luminescence?
The size might be the reason you are having problems.
ill spare you your fingers, and see what i can find. its out there… 
I looked into EL panels (basically the EL ribbon in sheet form) it has said that you can cut it with no problems.
so to get the size you need it might be our only option.
There was also no mention of having to seal the ends so its easy to guess that either the cutting process seals off the edge by pinching it or there isn’t too much harm in leaving the edges exposed.
i have see some youtube videos of people sealing up the ends with tape. prob best idea IMO.
you can just cut it with scissors.
Apart from that im all out of ideas. i got nothing!
