Looking for a suitable ESC for brushless motor

I’m fairly new to this so please forgive a stupid question. How do I find a suitable ESC module for one of the following brushless motors:

  • DST-700 brushless DC motor
  • Hobbypower A2212 1000kv Brushless Motor

I see tons of them by googling, but I’m not sure how to determine which is a better fit. The other gotcha is that the ESC must be able to be bidirectional. This is for use in an underwater ROV.

The first problem will be to find something that will have a reverse feature as most of the ESC’s out there are for planes and goes only forward.
It’s easy to find a matching ESC by looking at the current rating it will draw and this one would be around 11A according to Google. So we would suggest a 20A ESC and to gain Reverse you will have to find one made for Acrobatic multirotor or Car.
