Here's a video of my led mouth I made for my "blue Freak Machine".
This is the circuit I made for it:
In my case the leds are numbered as follow:
8 6 4 2 0 0 2 4 6 8
9 7 5 3 1 1 3 5 7 9
Edit: Oops i mixed up the 3914 and the 3915.. they both will work anyways..

Yup, I did the same with a 10 segment bar graph display. Well, actually 5 bars going each way. Best lookin’ mouth ever. The 3914/15 is awesome.

I was just thinking of doing something like this. I need to assemble my bot first and make everything else works but an LED based mouth is in the works at some point. I was thinking a single row of the rectangular LEDs would be cool.
