Little grip kit question

Hello,

I just have a quick question about the little grip kit (lynxmotion.com/p-160-little- … ervos.aspx). Does anyone know what grip material is used that would contact an object being gripped? Also, just to confirm, does the grip close completely and reasonably tightly? Just need it to hold a flat object from one end that weighs maybe 1/4 of a pound but is 6" long.

Thanks for your help,
Johnny5

Robix has not identified the exact material they use, but it’s a closed cell foam rubber. It’s not extremely grippy. The gripper can close all the way, but I don’t know how to quantify “reasonably tightly”. Just no way to know for sure.

Thanks for your reply. I will probably end up getting the little grip kits and the pan/tilt kits just in case. Although the little grip kits will allow me to rotate my object about its center of mass if I hold it front the end (I hope).

Hello, I have one more question regarding the Little Grip kit. Does anyone know how much weight the gripper can hold? Would 4-5 ounces be too much weight? Thank you!

Should not be an issue.
